THAIPUSAM 2008 - A SMALLER CROWD THAN USUAL

THAIPUSAM 2008 AT BATU CAVES SAW A MUCH SMALLER
CROWD THAN YESTER YEARS.

THE APPARENT ALLEGED ABUSE OF TEMPLE FUNDS
AMOUNTING TO RM 5.2 MILLION YEARLY FOR
MORE THAN 30 YEARS BY THE TEMPLE COMMITTEE
WITH ABSOLUTE POWER AND NO ACCOUNTABILITY,
PLUS THE ALLOWING OF POLICE TO BRUTALIZE THE
PEACEFUL GATHERING AT THE TEMPLE ON THE EARLY
MORNING OF 25TH NOVEMBER 2007 FOR "KARTIGAI"
PRAYERS SEEMS TO BE REASONS FOR THIS "BOYCOTT".

HAVING SPENT 24 HOURS ROUND THE CLOCK ESTIMATES
ARE 500,000 PILGRIMS AND VISITORS CAME COMPARED TO
THE USUAL 1.5 MILLION EVERY YEAR.

THERE WAS SO MUCH SPACE TO WANDER AROUND COMPARED
TO THE COMPLETELY PACKED 24 HOURS ON THAIPUSAM DAYS.

THE TEMPLE COMMITTEE AND THE POWERS CONTROLLING
OUGHT TO BE MADE MORE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS
AND ACCOUNT FOR EVERY SINGLE CENT DONATED BY THE
PILGRIMS IN GOOD FAITH ! .

THE SOONER THE BETTER FOR THE HINDU SOCIETY.

GOD BLESS A PEACEFUL AND HONEST MALAYSIA
